Custom Philadelphia Private Tour

Custom Philadelphia Private Tour

5 hours

Moderate

We will first walk you through areas we will see on the Hamiton tour without the emphasis on him,  allowing me to “skip” talking about these places later as we will have already visited them, and I may then concentrate on Hamilton alone.
We will start on Elfreth’s Alley, the oldest continuously occupied residential street in the US.
Next is a brief stop at Christ Church to introduce some important men from that period and discuss parts of the Constitution. We will be back here later as this is where the Hamilton Tour ends.
Then it is on to Franklin Court and Benjamin Franklin’s life story. Next a brief stop at the 1st Bank of the US, then Carpenter’s Hall, then the 2nd Bank of the US.
We will end the first half of the tour at Independence Hall with stories about the buildings and events and a bit about the Liberty Bell. This should take about 2 hours.
We will now get a quick bite for lunch.
NOW it is time for the Hamilton tour! We begin at the Independence Visitor Center across the street from the Liberty Bell Pavilion. We then wind our way back mostly through the route we had been on but now it is focused on Alexander Hamilton’s life, singing songs from the play along the way. We will end back at Christ Church and Robert Morris’ grave, who we learn about along the way, for our final song.
At this point, you should be mentally exhausted, but hopefully also filled with wonderfully new thought-provoking information that you will discuss in the coming days with your family.
